Where is Lake Bled. Lake Bled is located in the Gorenjska region of Slovenia, only a stone throw from Triglav National Park. It is just a 45 minutes drive from the capital city Ljubljana or a 30 minute drive from Joze Pucnik International Airport.

Ljubljana, Slovenia is a beautiful city, but I probably wouldn’t base myself there for 6-7 days if you want to explore Slovenia. I’d recommend staying near Lake Bled and then renting a car to do day trips. This is what we did and Lake Bled is centrally located enough to be able to see most of Slovenia in a 1-2 hour car ride.
